Imaginary Friends

Even though we aren't done with the zine or had the show, we have already started working on our next idea of a show. We are super excited for this one because we are collaborating with Ashley Forrette a absolutely amazing photographer in Portland,OR.

The show is going to be based around imaginary friends and where they go when we grow up. We are looking for any stories, names of imaginary friends, drawings, anything really to help us dive into that world.

Email me at josh@jolbyandfriends.com if you don't want to post your imaginary friend stories. Thanks and have a great day.

Automatic Satsifaction

So about this time last year Colby and I were asked to create the identity and first collection of tees for Automatic Satisfaction. It was one of the first clothing projects Jolby did since the Substratum Apparel days and we are super happy with how everything turned out. We are excited to share with you their collection and hope you find something you like and buy it!

Jolby Art Show Announcement

We're real excited to announce our second Jolby solo show (in the same year as our first)!

"&1: Everyday Shenanigans"

Jolby Art Show and Zine Release

at Artful Goods in Portland, OR

Opens August 7th 2009

To celebrate their first zine release, Jolby will be displaying prints and paintings inspired by their everyday, nonsensical humor. All of the artwork displayed and more will be available for purchase as a zine at the show as well. It's a departure from our last show which was heavily story-driven and will be a collection of our weirdness tied together by palette and style. Mark those calendars. More details coming soon...

Manchester Orchestra - Mean Everything To Nothing

Yesterday was the release of one of my favorite bands Manchester Orchestra new album Mean Everything to Nothing. They have progress alot from their first cd but still feels like Manchester. Also the artwork done by Brian Manley is very full done. Love the textures and type really brings the art to life. Sorry about the crappy pic of the cover the internet didn't provide anything good so I had to take a pic.
