A Big Thank You!

We wanted to thank everyone that came to our show, unfortunately I wasn't able to make it due to a family emergency but I heard it was great. And we also wanted to thank everyone that helped make it possible. We are lucky to be surrounded by some of the most amazing people and we couldn't have done it without them. So big thanks to Chris and Ashley Forrette, Shannon Kenyon, Abby Rynko, Shoko Saito, Keegan Meegan Press & Bindery, Artful Goods, Merrick and everyone at Tangible Worldwide and everyone that blogged about us we couldn't have done it without you.

1 Day Left: Secret Goodies!

In addition to the zine and prints available at the show, there are two secret goodies to be found by show-goers.

The first are these super awesome hand-sewn mustache pins that were made in a lot of different colors by the awesome Shoko Saito. Friends of Jolby will be sporting them tomorrow night and the rest will be given out in some sort of random order at the show.

The second goodie is the "King & Queen" 24" x 30" print. Only 10 will be available as giveaways for the first 10 purchases on opening night. And that's a dude's butt, just in case you've been staring at it.

Show Dedication

"&1: Everyday Shenanigans" is dedicated to Roberta T. Kenyon.

Roberta's battle with lupus ended Tuesday, August 4th. She will be greatly missed as a mother, as a friend, and as Jolby's biggest supporter.

2 Days Left: Jolby on your IPhone

J.C. over at Poolga has added two of the pieces from the show/zine to his library of awesome IPhone and IPod Touch wallpapers. Click here to download the worm called "The Creator" and here to download the teapot called "Cosmic Tea Party."

3 Days Left: The Card Set

On top of the zine and the screen prints, we are also selling a limited edition set of 6 screen printed cards that come in a small chocolate envelope. A big thanks to Shoko who's been lending us a helping hand and also making some hand-sewn goodies that you'll see being worn at the show. More to come!

4 Days Left: Opens this Friday!

Holy poops the show is this Friday! Josh and I are working on an original painting for the show that will be the &1 logo gigantic with some other doodles on it. Here's the work in progress. Some sweet updates coming this week as we get closer to the show!

A good friend of ours has just launched her Etsy shop with hand-made jewelry under the name "Wired" that is "Industrial-inspired jewelry with a touch of rough." Check it out!

11 Days Left: Show Preview!

If you've been counting down with us you have probably seen a healthy sampling of the zine and show. Today's post is another generous dosing of show preview! We hope you'll help us spread the word the closer we get to the opening night. Lots left to do, but we can't wait to get these goods in your hands.

14 Days Left: Printing With Keegan Meegan

Accompanying our first zine at the show will be 9 limited edition screen prints and a screen-printed card set hand-pulled by our awesome friend Keegan who makes up 1/2 of Keegan Meegan Press & Bindery. Above are pics from the time we spent in his studio as he slaved away on these delicious prints. If you need screen printing or letterpress done, he is the dude to contact. New Subtext Show Opens Friday

Our pals Subtext Gallery in San Diego, CA have a new show opening in conjunction with the start on Comic-Con on Friday July 24th from 6pm - 10 pm called "Meanwhile in the Hall of Justice...". If you're in San Diego, make sure you check it out. Also, if you're at Comic-Con we would totally love one of these little guys if you see it. (Art above by Graham Smith)

Preview Coming Soon

Our amazing friend Ashley Forrette just finished taking pictures of our zine. They turned out great and we can't wait to share them with everyone. On that note we will be putting up a preview of the zine a couple days before the show. The Handsome devil above holding our zine is Ashley's Husband and an amazing dude Chris. Thanks

Help Ryan Win!

Ryan Seaman has been a great friend of mine since design school and a huge supporter of Jolby so we had to do a post on a t-shirt contest that he is in currently. DesignbyHumans is having their annual 10k contest. I entered last year and got no where so let's help Ryan win this one. You have to sign up to vote but it's a sweet design and it's for a great guy. GO VOTE!!

This Weekend: "Bridges" Opening in Portland, OR

Our great friends Keegan Meegan are going to be in this super radtastic show coming up this Saturday in Portland, OR. Here are all the details:

New Pattern

Finished up a giant poster that will be a gift with the first 10 zines at the show and the first 10 zines sold online. This pattern is a tiny section of the illustration on the poster but we thought it was pretty cool. Maybe will make wrapping paper out of it, who knows... Have a great weekend.

It's Official: Jolby to Reunite in Portland

It's official. Josh Kenyon and his lovely wife are moving to Portland, Oregon. This will be the first time since 2006 that both halves of Jolby will live in the same city! To celebrate the ending of our constant video chatting and actually being able to talk in person now, here's Josh's big dumb face in all of its glory.
