New Print Added to Our Etsy

After being told we were stupid-faces for not making this little card into a big print, we got the hint and fulfilled your wishes. You can now purchase the above limited edition "Tree Life is Thee Life" 11" x 14" digital archival print on our Etsy. There are only 15 of them in the edition, so get this fat bird while you can.

Sale Over

Thanks to everyone that bought something from our etsy store this past week during the sale. It turned out great and we will definitely be doing it again soon. Sale is still good for the rest of the night so if you want to get something from our store we will also send you a Jolby goodie.

Artist We Love: Rachael Roellke

We haven't done artist feature in a long time so why not start it up again with a great friend and an awesome artist. Meet Rachael Roellke soon to be Rachael Coddington( recently engaged) an incredibly talented craftsman who makes jewelery. We got to see her work and she has an eye for detail and has a great simple style. With the holidays coming up her work is affordable and would make awesome gifts for anyone. So head on over to her etsy store and check it out.

The Sale Lives On

We decided since the weekend sale went so good we would extend it through the rest of the week. So if you buy anything from our store this week you will receive a gift from us. Could be a print, a drawing on an orange who knows but we promise it will make you smile. Head over to our esty store and pick up some goods.

Get More With Your Jolby Etsy Order

This weekend when you buy something from our Etsy shop you'll get an extra gift from us. It could be a print, a zine, a drawing... we promise it will be sweet. Head over to our Etsy shop and check out the goods.

A Week With Jolby

We were asked a couple weeks ago by Doodlers Anonymous if we wanted to do a week with Jolby feature on their site. We agreed and documented a week and to our surprise it turned out pretty cool. Doodlers did an awesome job compiling all our doodles and weird pictures into a great post. Colby and I have been working together as Jolby for a little over two years and for the first time we have been able to work in the same city and it feels really good to look at the pics and see the work we are doing.

Also we just updated our shop with our zine and some new prints. Take a look and if you enjoy or just want to support some fine gentlemen get some stuff!

Thrice "Beggars"

Sorry on the lack of updates. We promise to get back on the ball. Something we haven't done in a while is mention some of the new tunes we are listening to. I am a huge Thrice fan, I would even say they are my favorite band that consistently makes amazing album after album, pushing themselves as artist. Their newest album "Beggars" is another great album to add to their growing catalog. The albums lacks the heavy feel and moves to a more groove base which is a nice change for the band. Stand out tracks are "The Weight" "In Exile" and "Beggars". I definitely recommend you buy the physical cd which comes with 5 bonus tracks that are equally as great as the other tracks. Thrice if you read this for some strange reason we would do anything to do some design and/or illustrations for you =)

More Jolby updates coming soon thanks for stopping by.

Documenting

We've been documenting all week our day-to-day projects, activities, and sketching for Doodlers Anonymous who will be graciously posting all of that nonsense. Here's a little sketchle for you in the meantime. We're working on moving the blog to something other than Blogger's poop portal. Cheers!

New Work & A Nice Update

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. We've been too busy playing racquetball and documenting a day-in-the-life of Jolby feature for Doodlers Anonymous which should appear in a few weeks or so. Above is our latest work for Brunch Box, a food cart here in Portland that holds the trophy for the Best Burger in Portland. We love their food and are stoked with how the tee came out. Click the pic to see all of the detail inside the design.

Other things going on: Urban Outfitters posters (through Tangible), our show with Ashley Forrette, Iron Wolf Racquetball matches, and our zine is currently being sold at Powell's Books, Grass Hut Gallery, Artful Goods, Together Gallery and more to come. Email us if you're interested in carrying the zine.

Josh's Bali Work

A while back Josh finished a body of work called *Balance - A Journey Inspired by Bali, Indonesia. Coming back from the trip, he brought with him Bali-inspired patterns, stories, and moments that he turned into super rad art. We've put all of it on jolbyandfriends.com for your viewing enjoyment. Some of the pieces will be available as prints very soon.

And we also wanted to thank everyone that helped make it possible. We are lucky to be surrounded by some of the most amazing people and we couldn't have done it without them. So big thanks to Chris and Ashley Forrette, Shannon Kenyon, Abby Rynko, Shoko Saito, Keegan Meegan Press & Bindery, Artful Goods, Merrick and everyone at Tangible Worldwide and everyone that blogged about us we couldn't have done it without you.
